Considéré comme le plus grand festival du monde, réunissant 120 000 spectateurs par jour à Chicago chaque été, le Lollapalooza est né aux Etats-Unis au début des années 90.
Fort de son succès, le Lollapalooza s’exporte en 2011 à Santiago au Chili, puis à São Paulo au Brésil, en 2012, avant de rejoindre Buenos Aires, en Argentine, en 2014. » (Source sortiraparis.com)
En 2015, le festival s’implante en Europe à Berlin. En 2017, Paris l’accueille sous l’impulsion de LiveNation.
Pour sa deuxième édition, deux grosses têtes d’affiches seront à l’honneur : Depeche Mode qui fait aussi d’autres festivals et Gorillaz ( qu’on avait vu au Zenith à Paris en novembre 2017) plus rare en France cette année.

Considered the largest festival in the world, bringing together 120,000 spectators a day in Chicago each summer, the Lollapalooza was born in the United States in the early 90s.
