L’exposition consacrée à DELACROIX au Louvre s’est terminée le 23 Juillet 2018 et a réuni pas moins de 540 000 visiteurs. J’ai eu la chance d’aller la voir en nocturne le 22 juillet (oui ce fut in extremis 🙂 ). Cette exposition exceptionnelle méritait bien que je la mette en avant sur mon blog.
Les œuvres proposées retracent la vie du peintre. Vous retrouverez le célèbre tableau » la liberté guidant le peuple » (cf photo de présentation de mon article). Vous apprendrez aussi qu’il a eu une période « marocaine ».
Pour ceux qui n’ont pas eu la chance de la voir à Paris, il y aura une séance de rattrapage à New-York au Metropolitan Museum of Art du 17 Septembre 2018 au 6 Janvier 2019. 😉

The exhibition devoted to DELACROIX at the Louvre ended on July 23, 2018 and brought together no less than 540,000 visitors. I had the chance to go see it at night on July 22 (yes it was in extremis 🙂 ). This exceptional exhibition deserved that I put it on my blog.
The proposed works retrace the life of the painter. You will find the famous painting « freedom guiding the people » (see photo of my article). You will also learn that he had a « Moroccan » period.
For those who have not had the chance to see her in Paris, there will be a catch-up session in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from September 17, 2018 to January 6, 2019. 😉

I am unable to read French. I should be able to. I minored in it in college. But I never use it. So I’ve forgotten a lot. I do like the painting and vintage car.
